Ever Looked At an Invitation and Said In Your Heart,  “If I Go, What’s In It For Me?

We all have, simply because we’re human.   Statistics report that more and more Christians are spending less and less time in church activities, reading their Bibles and even in prayer.  Before you feel guilty, may I tell you it was ‘planned?’    Oh, yes, not by God, but by the god of this world.  You know, the unseen god that most people of the world like to deny he even exists.

But as a Christian, you’ve read your Bible, you already know he’s for real and in this day and age you are surely to experience his presence or at least his pressure in some factor in your life.  The devil delivers ‘invitations’ daily, especially to the Christians he hates.  But, it’s our ‘choice’ whether we obey him or obey God.   Many people are obeying the things, the invitations of this world simply because they bring instant fun, temporary relief, and momentary satisfaction. 

How many times have you accepted an invitation merely because it provided a free meal?  It happens, don’t feel guilty, you’re still in this human flesh.  But quite frankly your heart, as a Christian, according to the Bible ‘pants after God’ as a deer pants for the waters, am I right?  But when you open your Bible, do you always leave exhilarated and fulfilled?  Again, don’t feel guilty, you’re human.
