Hello Friend,

God desires to deliver you and set you free. So why hasn't he done it?  He's trying, but it takes your cooperation and mine to make changes.  God wants our permission to make major changes in our life.  You give him permission by talking to him in prayer.  When you do, you become partners with God.

So why doesn't he just do it, right?  I mean, after all, he can read my mind or he wouldn't be God. So why do I have to ask him all the time to help me?  Because if he just automatically moved here and there, you might feel violated at some point because you were 'not there yet'. In other words, what we don't understand, God waits until we do and then we also can never accuse him of just using us as puppets.

Do you like people pulling your 'strings' and making you do things you don't want? That's called control and none of us like that. So, God created us to be involved in the decision making process so we could 'partner' with him rather than see him as the 'dictator'.

Friend, God's after your love and he knows the only way to truly get that is if you give it to him willingly, not by rote and not by force.  Love not truly felt or sincere has no value.
